Mini oven advice

Our oven has packed in and while we research and decide whether to repair or replace, I'm thinking of buying an inexpensive mini oven primarily to tide us over, but also as an alternative in future - extra oven space when doing big roasts, more economical way for the DC to heat up a few nuggets, etc.

Does this seem a good idea? Any advice, recommendations, things to be aware of?

This is the one I'm looking at in: www.amazon.co.uk/Quest-35409-Litre-Grill-100-230%C2%B0/dp/B07Q61P8Q4/ref=mp_s_a_1_12?dchild=1&keywords=mini+ovens+electric&pf_rd_p=7651c268-32cc-44fd-b40e-e92ca52cc2d9&pd_rd_wg=oJPir&pf_rd_r=KW27GFZ1XHGA59FEAW5V&pd_rd_w=GjzYO&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1629967112&pd_rd_r=f885097d-3a99-4194-a510-bdbb614e6aaa&sr=8-12

I had one as a student and loved it, though I would usually only have been cooking for 1-2. They're helpful and economical. Due to the size, it felt as if they would run hot (also on the grill setting), although I think this is more due to edges of food being nearer all round to the metal sides than in a regular oven - so better for some things, worse for cakes for example. When on, parts of it were also very hot to touch on the outside so leave space around it.

I also decided to rely on slow cooker and microwave while having kitchen replacement more recently. I would have liked an oven, specifically a hob or ring. Kedgeree in a slow cooker was a real low point.

Thank you both! I love our slow cooker and microwave, but there are a few essential foods to our household that can only be done in an oven. I had a slightly upset stomach last night and I suspect the Ikea fishballs may not be meant to be microwaved ShockGrin
