What to do with a pint of single cream?

I was given a short dated pint of single cream. All the recipes I can find on the internet are for double cream. What do people do with single?

I just use single cream (or milk) if that's all I have in recipes.
You can make a creamy mushroom sauce which goes lovely with pasta, steak, pork or chicken.

You could make frittata if you have some eggs. Or you could make creamy soup.

I would make an extra creamy rice pudding. I usually add single or double cream when I make a rice pudding anyway as it makes it absolutely delicious.

Give it to me, obviously :)

Does it freeze well?

Brandy Alexander. You need crème de cacao though.

Whip it up with a little caster sugar and serve with strawberries and you can add meringue for Eton Mess.
Melt chocolate, add a little of the cream and pour over the strawberries and meringue.

Ooh some lovely ideas here. Will definitely be doing a dauphinoise. Rice pudding is on the list too Smile

Pour it over a bowl of Haagen-Dazs Belgian chocolate ice cream.
And get a bit fat. Blush
