Unsmoked gammon, 1 level Tbs brown sugar. Slow cook on low setting for 7 hours. Stir some of the liquid produced into some Bisto gravy.

That’s as easy as it gets and the sugar draws out the saltiness of the ham, it’s fab.

Following with interest! A quick and easy one I do is chicken thighs (boned or boneless it doesn’t matter), couple cans of tomato soup, can of kidney beans, some frozen spinach. Served with mashed potato or rice or homemade potato wedges. It’s simple but really nice!

Oh and seasoning of course! Paprika or chilli powder or lots of black pepper
