Chicken pie but no condensed chicken soup??

I can't get any condensed chicken soup anywhere!

I have cream of chicken soup and chicken broth. Will these work in a chicken pie? I could thicken them with cornflower.

Me too, Ninkanink, but now I'm on my own there's no way I would bother to make one and shop bought aren't the same.

My late mother in law and husband loved my chicken pie. So did I.

You could make a mini pie in a little gratin dish - meat and gravy/sauce in dish and a pastry lid on top. That’s worth doing for one. 🙂 or you could do four small ones and freeze some!

It makes me sad to think of you never eating your fantastic pie...

The pie was perfect!

I did make individuals @Ninkanink in the end.

I did ready rolled puff for the top.

I also use left over beef casserole for pies which works well.

Cream of chicken soup is pretty thick so not that different to condensed.
Will definitely try some of these excellent ideas in the future though.

Thank you, Ninkanink. Not that fantastic but it was nice, I had a light touch with pastry. I don't bother much with cooking nowadays, don't have the heart for it since my husband. My son is a good cook and spoils me when I go to his.

Maybe in the future.

Somehow I can't see him making pastry, Ninkanink. Anyway he wouldn't like chicken pie.
