I did exactly this on Thursday only mine was 2 weeks out of date. If anything I'd say leave it another week.

Thank you for all your contributions.
Now I have another conundrum.

While I was so busy enjoying the sticky toffee pudding, I forgot that the remaining tomato sauce (that I’d made to go with the chicken parmigiana) was still in the pan on the hob. So it’s been there overnight.

Can I pop it in a Tupperware now in the fridge and still use it? I can can’t I? Blush
