We're in a food rut. We have a 9 month old who is enthusiastic with solids and into self feeding, a 3yo who can be fussy and if we cook for both together (which I prefer to short order dinners!) the meals have to be egg, dairy and nut free due to their allergies.

What have you made for your kids this week? What are your top easy dinners?

Tray bakes are good. Sausages with sweet potatoes, apple wedges, shallots and rosemary.
Chicken with paprika, peppers, tomato, red onion, chickpeas, garlic.
Salmon, new potatoes, asparagus, green beans, lemon wedges, parsley, chives.
Marinated chicken skewers
Homemade fishcakes
Tuna pasta bake (make a tomato based sauce and top with df cheese)
Fajitas
Dhal with rice and or naan
Chicken and broccoli pasta bake

Liver is very good for growing children as it's high in iron. When my kids were small I made paté with chicken livers a few times. Served with crudités and crusty bread it went down well for the toddlers. Nut butters also - good to expose them to lots of different healthy flavours and textures.

Oops I just re-read and saw the nut free and dairy free thing! Ignore!

These chickpea and sweetcorn burgers www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/vegetables-recipes/the-best-vegan-burger/ You could omit the spices, but my dc aren’t bothered by them.

Thank you! I wonder if I could make a dairy free pate @Guineapigbridge - worth me having a try anyway

Mine liked fajitas at that age. I would fry up the chicken with peppers baby corn and carrot, and a touch of spice, and remove the kids portions before adding extra spice to adults. Easy for baby to pick up. (Serve baby with strips of wraps, make up mini wrap for toddler, adults make their own.
