How to cook goats cheese

Hi

Does anyone know how to cook goats cheese like they do in the salads you get in restaurants ? So it’s warm inside but not melted and golden on the top?

Online it says bake or grill and I tried both and it just melts and turns it all gooey

The ones in the restaurants aren’t melted inside??

I also tried frying it which was a disaster

At work we definitely grilled it. Maybe higher temperature for less time?

Are you buying the right type of goats cheese? If you buy chevre blanc and then grill it you get the type of result you're looking for

There are literally hundreds of cheese made with goats milk - hard like parmesan, soft like cream cheese, everything in between, including blue.

Has it got a white rind around the outside, @Roses10101? That's the type you want. A nice decent sized round slice of chèvre log on a piece of foil under the grill until it's starting to bubble. Perfect.
