Anyone know anything about the insides of a chicken?

Bought a chicken this morning from local supermarket - use by date today.

Getting it ready to put in over I checked to see if giblets were inside. There was something which I pulled out that was liverish-ey but part of it was green. Dark green.

Normal or not?

Help - I need to know!!!!!

It's DH's birthday and I was doing a nice roast chicken Sunday lunch before he goes away on business later this afternoon!

The thing was dark green but is now gone. Will the chicken be OK?

well i am not sure

i usually scald the inside of my chicken with boiling water before i cook it

i don't want to be responsible for giving your DH a dodgy tummy before he goes away

does the chicken smell ok???

Buda · 25/11/2007 11:34

Smells ok but have just had a good look inside and still some dark green on it. Will junk it and do something else I think - don't think I would be able to eat it!

can you take it back?

Buda · 25/11/2007 11:37

Too difficult. They won't speak English and it would just be too hard.
