Some supermarkets will cook pizza for you at the deli counter Grin

imborednow · 10/07/2021 17:27

If you've got a kettle, then pot noodle or one of those pot paste things, might need to buy fork/spoon.
Fruit, cereal bars, junk food...

Skiptheheartsandflowers · 10/07/2021 17:27

Those mini cheese portions in bags, Babybel and the like
Cold meats, sliced ham, salami, chorizo
Crisps

dementedpixie · 10/07/2021 17:28

Bitofachinwag · 10/07/2021 17:28

Fruit, carrot sticks, dried fruit, cake!

Dollywilde · 10/07/2021 17:28

Supermarket picnic!

Ready made salad, pre cooked chicken. Bread rolls. Crisps. Mini sausages, quiche, sausage rolls, olives, pasta salad. Brownie bites for pudding. Plastic cutlery and paper plates and paper napkins if you need!

Hope all is ok, emergency hotel stay sounds stressful Flowers

Quich, cold pasta salads, French bread and cheese, sandwiches, pot noodles.

Ask Tesco for take out cutlery and if they don’t have any ask the hotel. They’re bound to at least have tea spoons

Mrsjayy · 10/07/2021 17:32

Tesco do nice salad boxes and pasta/ cous cous that andnsome bread snd chicken even if it is cold would be nice . Dinner doesn't be hot.

Ambo21 · 10/07/2021 17:33

Wraps, cooked chicken, salsa, sour cream, salad leaves...
Big apple pie and squishy cream!!

Katrinawaves · 10/07/2021 17:33

Baguette with pate and nice cheeses with some fruit to follow would be easy. You would need to buy some cutlery and paper plates too though.

Ninkanink · 10/07/2021 17:37

Baguette. Salami, ham, soft cheese. Olives, cherry tomatoes. Breadsticks. Wine.

Mrsjayy · 10/07/2021 17:38

MAMA "Pot noodles " are nicer and make me feel fuller than actual pot noodles and you get a little fork with it.

bonfireheart · 10/07/2021 17:38

Takeaway?

spaceghett0 · 10/07/2021 17:39

Just for one day?

Scarby9 · 10/07/2021 17:41

Literally anyrhing from the 'food to go', bakery or deli sections.

Orf1abc · 10/07/2021 17:45

You can do better than a meal deal. Defeats the object of the thread!

Maryann1975 · 10/07/2021 17:49

Depends what they’ve got left tbh. When we were in Tesco at lunchtime, they had loads of precooked chickens, sausages, wings, drumsticks on the hot counter.

If that’s all gone, I’d be getting some lovely cheese, a french stick, some posh ham or cold meats, nice crisps, a pre packed salad with some lovely bits in it. I’m thinking I could get a really lovely picnic tea going tbh.

Tons of ready to eat stuff is available

As well as Sausage rolls:

Cold ready to eat items:

Pork pies, quiche, other pies, samosas, cocktail sausages, scotch eggs, salads (these often come with a fork or even if you're not buying a salad there's often disposable cutlery to grab in the sandwiches/salad section), pasties, cooked tarts, cooked diced chicken, Spanish tortilla, falafel, ham slices etc (just roll up and eat), anti pasti/sides - olives, sundried tomatoes, stuffed peppers, stuffed vine leaves, bread sticks, carrot sticks, celery sticks (can be dipped in the houmous) artichokes, snacking cheese items, fridge raiders also sandwich fillers like egg Mayo

Can be made hot with just a kettle :

Pot noodle
Pot pasta
Cous cous
Noodles

Check out the chilled veggie section even if you're not veggie as there's loads there
