I'm all out of ideas! DH has suggested a red cabbage slaw, and hummus, to make wraps but it's not hitting the spot for me... Anyone got any other bright ideas?

Slow roast it with boulangere potatoes and onions then serve up with something green and crunchy - sugar snaps and peas?

Roasted veg - courgettes, aubergine, onions, tomatoes etc?

Or peas (French braised if feeling posh Grin).

Roast veg cous-cous, slaw, homemade naan and a green salad with pomegrante :)

Mumdiva99 · 09/07/2021 11:03

We do have lamb wraps - with the lebanese flat breads, tomato and onion salad, lettuce, cucumber, yoghurt dressing and chilli sauce.

Or you could have a cous cous salad dressed with some pomegranate seeds

Or more traditional - mash potato and veg (although I prefer potatoes cooked around the meat)

My daughter always wants dauphinoise potatoes with lamb....but that's quite extravagant.

or... New potatoes with dill and peas, greek stylee.

This is insanely good:

With some lightly pickled, crunchy veg and some fluffy flat breads.

This: www.thekitchn.com/appetizer-recipe-pomegranate-olive-relish-recipes-from-the-kitchn-181181

And homemade labneh with flatbreads.

Do this Jamie Oliver one with chickpeas

www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/lamb-recipes/tender-lamb-shoulder/

It is insanely good and I don't usually serve it with anything other than a salad or slaw in summer or wraps.

Also I never have dried chickpeas in so I cook the lamb with water for two hours then add tinned chickpeas with the tomatoes etc for the final two hours.

I either do dauphinois potatoes and roasted veg, or jewelled couscous or tabbouleh, tsazitki, salad, wraps. And then we binge.

Some fantastic ideas on here - thank you! Currently leaning towards cous cous and greek yoghurt, mmmmm...

Can you share your recipe for the slow roast lamb, this thread is making my hungry!

AdaColeman · 09/07/2021 12:32

Green lentil & haricot vert warm salad, with capers and black olives, with some Moroccan spiced poached apricots alongside.

Eleoura · 09/07/2021 16:37

Depending how many you are feeding on day 1, we do the following:

Day 1- roast with veg and sides

Day 2- Leftovers become lamb curry, lamb tagine with cous cous or kebab style wraps

daytriptovulcan · 09/07/2021 17:16

Couscous with morrocan seasoning.

daytriptovulcan · 09/07/2021 17:17

You ll need the roasted mediterranean veg to be mixed in
