Frozen chicken breast in slow cooker?

Hi, I I want to make chicken noodle soup. And then dish it into pots to freeze so I have lunch as I struggle cooking every day for myself as pregnant.

Can I use frozen chicken breast in the slow cooker?
How do I know it's safe to eat?
Do I put the raw chicken in the rest of the soup mixture then cook?
How long to cook frozen chicken breast for?

Or do I have to cook it in the oven then add to my soup in the slow cooker?

Thanks!

Frozen chicken, or any other meat poultry or fish, shouldn't be put directly in a slow cooker. The low heat means it would spend too long at the "danger zone" temperature where any bacteria will multiply. Defrost (or pre-cook) it first.
