Really good, thick balsamic vinegar that won't break the bank?

Apologies for this being such a Mumsnetty thread. Looking to buy a really good balsamic to use with olive oil for dipping bread into. I had one a few years ago that cost £20, which I though was extortionate, but it was delicious, and lasted ages.

I'm aware that the really, really good ones cost £££s, but I'm thinking more of a great-tasting supermarket buy, rather than a specialist shop.

Does anyone have any recommendations please?

I second Belazu. But get the normal one not the vintage one as normal is thicker and tastes better - something I discovered on Friday when I bought the aged one as a treat and it was thinner and more tart!

I like Tesco posh own brand, whatever it's called.

What sort of flavour do you like with balsamic? I like the sweet syrupy type on strawberries and have found the cheap balsamic glaze in squeezy bottles is by far the best for that, for example! If you haven’t tried it red wine vinegar and olive oil is my preference for dunking bread - add some walnuts and a bit of cheese and I’m happy!

You can also buy balsamic reductions at most supermarkets which is a thick, sweet balsamic.
