Fish Pie- is there any easy/quick version?

I made a fish pie for the first time, and wow did it take an age to put together. By the time it was done, it was the last thing in the universe I felt like eating.

What with poaching the fish in milk etc, cooling and making white sauce from the milk, mashing potato, boiling eggs, cooking the other seafood and carrots, assembling and baking... what a faff around.

The whole thing was basically cooked by the time it went in the oven. When I eventually ate some it was delicious, but there must be an easier way? Surely?

I also sometimes put in spring onions, sautéed leeks, or grated or finely chopped carrots.

White sauce, fish (uncooked, frozen fish pie mix fine too), frozen peas, boiled eggs. Mix all together, too with mash.

I've never poached in milk, always made it quickly.

I use bisto parsely sauce granules in mine! I Also just poach all my fish mix together in milk...add the granules so it becomes a sauce then top with mash. Easiest fish pie ever!

MiL uses creme fraiche for the sauce, stabilised with a bit of cornflour.

I never like the Jamie Oliver one but Rick Stein does the most amazing fish pie ever

I buy a bag of frozen fish pie mix. Stir it into a white sauce with a handful of peas, and two hardboiled eggs chopped.

I top with frozen mash.

I put frozen fish pie mix in the oven dish. Add some frozen peas and hard boiled eggs. Cover with parsley sauce (homemade or the bisto stuff is great)
Top with mash. Freshly made or frozen if you want a really easy dish.
Cook.

A pack of Tesco's fish pie mix, and a pack of cod in butter sauce. Add a sprinkle of frozen peas. Mix, top with mash and cover with grated cheese. Cook in the oven until golden on top.
