I've got two fussy eaters and I'm sick of giving the same thing over and over again.

What are you having for tea tonight?

OP posts:
Fivemoreminutes1 · 23/06/2021 18:25

Higgidy quiche and green salad.

spagbog5 · 23/06/2021 18:30

Beans on toast- possibly with grated cheese on top if I can be bothered for dh and I and dd is eating up left over tomato and mozzarella pasta .
We are rather fooded out this week for some reason.

IHaveBrilloHair · 23/06/2021 18:31

Fish pie ready meal

Stichintime · 23/06/2021 18:31

Pasta salad with eggs for vegetarians, tuna for others.

CurryLover55 · 23/06/2021 18:33

Battered fish, oven chips & peas - was going to be something more elaborate but I’m not well. We had the same last night minus the peas!

Mintjulia · 23/06/2021 18:35

Meatballs in garlicky tomato sauce, with wholemeal pasta

FizzyPink · 23/06/2021 18:36

Simplycook Korean Chicken - the deal in Tesco where you get chicken, rice, veg and the spice mix for £5

Mindymomo · 23/06/2021 18:45

Chicken wrapped in pancetta, served with veg and roasted new potatoes. About the only meal we all eat. Yesterday we had fish fingers, mash and baked beans and Monday we had chicken curry.

FawnDrench · 23/06/2021 20:09

Sirloin steak, asparagus, beans, baby carrots and new potatoes.

CurryLover55 · 24/06/2021 07:34

fizzypink is that Korean chicken nice? Do they do other things in that range & are the portions ok?

FindingMeno · 24/06/2021 07:36

We had chilli con carne.
Tonight will be salmon, potato and sweet potato mash, and broccoli.
Tomorrow will be warm chicken salad.

FizzyPink · 24/06/2021 09:25

@CurryLover55 I haven’t tried any of the others yet but I think they have maybe 3 or 4. DP is a fussy eater so when he likes something we tend to stick to it for a while. This has replaced stir fry as his favourite meal after I got sick of having it every week 😂
In the £5 deal I would say it’s plenty for 2 adults but I wouldn’t want to stretch it to any more

AdaColeman · 24/06/2021 09:39

Roast belly pork with apple sauce, more a winter dish really, but the weather is so cold, wet and miserable that I think it will cheer me up.
Pimms with cucumber & mint for aperos, so that's a touch of summer!
Wine Wine

Chicken and chorizo pasta bake (with blended peppers and courgettes hidden in the tomato sauce because I have a fussy toddler who loves meat but won’t willingly eat veg at the moment!)

Served with green salad and garlic bread.

Modwolvesrock · 24/06/2021 09:56

Yorkshire pudding pies.

Thank you to the MN'er for the link to the company on the Yorkshire pudding thread the other day, I immediately went and ordered a load!

CMac79 · 24/06/2021 10:40

I'm making Chicken Korma Stir Fry with noodles, using my Korma Spice Pot. My kids love it! I use less of the spice than the recipe states (and I use Chicken instead of Prawns, and noodles instead of rice to keep the kids happy!)

www.spicepots.com/blogs/recipes/prawn-fried-rice

It can also be used to make a Chicken Korma Curry too. I use it as a flavour - and use less than the recipe states to keep it mild enough for the kids. (but add fresh chillis to it for my DH and I)

youngestisapsycho · 24/06/2021 10:57

Last night was chicken enchiladas… today I’m off to a nice Michelin star restaurant with my work… DH and DD have some M&S Chinese food to bung in the oven 😝

youngestisapsycho · 24/06/2021 10:58

Oooh what’s a Yorkshire pudding pie??

FizzyPink · 24/06/2021 12:04

Tonight is Pinch of Nom’s chilli chicken masala curry. First time making it and I’m removing the hot sauce as it sounds very spicy

idontlikealdi · 24/06/2021 12:21

Ready made puff pastry sheets with a pizza type sauce, salami, mozzarella, basil, olives, red onion and a salad.

So basically pizza.

WhatsMyNameGonnaBeNow · 24/06/2021 12:38

Mushroom and goats cheese pappardelle for DH and me. Dc aren’t huge fans of mushroom as a main ingredient so spinach & ricotta ravioli with sautéed veg for them.

Modwolvesrock · 24/06/2021 13:04

Sorry Youngest, just saw your question Smile

They are a pie with a Yorkshire pudding crust for "pastry". My delivery arrived today, so I'll let you know what we thought of this genius invention tomorrow!

BunnyRuddington · 24/06/2021 19:12

These vegetarian fajitas. There were lush.

lazylinguist · 24/06/2021 19:34

Chicken and mushroom ramen with half a poached egg on top. Slllluuurrrrpp!

ZenNudist · 24/06/2021 19:38
