What are people's favourite recipes for these?

I've been playing around with a few online recipes recently, but haven't yet found a good one - nothing compared to the fresh - store brand ones.

I love the sauce that goes with these sprouts. I make a jar of it and use it as a stir fry sauce.

I do stir fried veg fairly regularly (peppers, mange tout, bean sprouts, Chinese cabbage et etc )

I don’t use a sauce… but I have this excellent Asda own brand stir fry oil. In a glass bottle. It flavours everything subtly. I tend to use that to cook with, then add some crushed cashews ..

I don't use shop sauces; they are usually chock-full of sugar & are v. dear.

It depends what spices etc are already in the accompanying main course.

If there's already garlic/ginger/chilli in the mix, then soy sauce, sherry & a touch of sesame oil might be all that's needed. Oyster or hoisin sauce could be useful.
BTW garlic, ginger & chilli are all available in jars ready-prepped to make life easier.

Yup - I go through a jar of chopped garlic about every other week. :)

What type of Sherry do you use?

This one! Everyone I've made it for loves it too. I squeeze the juice from around 4 small oranges for this.

1 cup orange juice
1 tbsp. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 tbsp. soy sauce
2tsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. grated ginger root or 1⁄2 tsp. ground ginger
