Instant Pot or similar?

I need to replace my slow cooker and have been recommended an Instant Pot. They are quite expensive though, and it seems a lot to pay for a replacement slow cooker, although I understand it does a lot more. Is it a good buy please? If you have one, do you use the other functions?

You need one of these - I'm not on commission or anything but I never use my oven anymore. I wish I'd bought one before my sons left home!

I have two instant pots - a 6l duo and a 8l with air fryer functionality.

I go through phases of using it just like my slow cooker I've never used it on slow cook mode - food is generally better pressure cooked and then left on warm until dinner time. Beef stew in 35 mins, whole chicken in zero minutes, risotto in 6 minutes. Don't forget it takes time to reach pressure then cook then release, but I was so happy with one I bought another.

I'd have been lost without the Facebook group though - instant pot community. Lots of my recipes and advice came from there.

I have a ninja foodi and I use it every day. I use the oven, air fryer, sauté, pressure cook and slow cook functions. It's honestly brilliant.

If all you want is a slow cooker, an Instant Pot would probably be overkill.
I've got a bigger version of the Ninja Foodi linked above and hardly use the actual oven anymore. I use it for air frying, baking/roasting and pressure cooking. It's brilliant but quite expensive and large if you are strapped for room.

I have an instant pot. I got it in a flash sale so it was only about £20 dearer than the old replacement PressureKingPro that ‘someone’ melted in the stovetop.

It’s more robust than my old one and does more ‘stuff’ (although I never use it to make jazzy thinks like cake or yoghurt).

I use it to fast and slow cook and really like it.

Oh yes and the air fryer is useful (but I had to buy a separate one as mum baby pot doesn’t have an air fryer lid to fit).

I have two instapot
a mini and the one with the air fryer.

I sue them almost every day. I use the mini for pressure cooking stews and for making yogurt overnight.

I use the big one to air fry pretty much everything 😃

The air fryer was a revelation! I have told DS than he is getting one when he leaves home (he was happy about that). It makes amazing chicken and salmon. Nice roast veggies too.

But I ended up getting a ceramic one because my first one went all ‘bobbly’ on the trivet piece and the paint began to flake off.

Thanks everyone. The Ninja Foodi has also been recommended!! I may go for that.

Another rec for the ninja foodi. I LOVE mine, it's still fairly new to me but I can't actually recollect using the oven since I got it, which is a bit drastic really isn't it!? I must like it!
