You could make parsley sauce to go over fish

purplesequins · 01/06/2021 15:07

is that like white sauce with chopped parsley?
I only know the one from frozen packets and they are not very appealing.

Rougly chopped and stirred through mashed potato.

Add to a soup you're going to blitz.

You could stick it to the sides and top of your face and pretend to be a lion :)

Tabbouleh - a parsley and bulgar wheat salad. It's delicious and fresh, and yummy by itself or with e.g. barbeques, kofta, lamb.

God I love parsley - send me your glut! Grin
Handfulls in salads and soups and casseroles, sauce for fish or just sprinkle over fish, add to whatever you're having on a baked potato, put lots in your fish pie, tortilla/omelette, pasta sauce/bake. Just add it to anything you think really! It's very good for you too so eating it every day in something will do you good.

Chew thoroughly and eat to cure garlic or onion breath.

Chop finely then use to make herb butter to top steaks, chops, vegetables, baked potatoes or fish.

Or add plenty of garlic to your herb butter and use to make garlic bread.
Add to rice when making stuffed vegetables, or stuffed vine leaves.
Chop finely and sprinkle over chilled summer soups such as gazpacho, cucumber, Greek egg & lemon.
Use when making a classic herb omelette.

And of course the Queen of them all ~ make gremolata.

Make pesto and use it instead of basil.

Yes make a béchamel sauce then just add parsley homemade tastes a lot better than the packet frozen stuff. You can also freeze parsley it if your using it for sauces or to cook with and not just garnish.

Add loads of it to spaghetti with crispy pancetta & olive oil, it's lovely

FinallyHere · 01/06/2021 16:02

Sprinkle it on everything.

Free vitamin C and looks lovely.

crosstalk · 01/06/2021 16:15

Chop finely and add to salads.

MilkRunningOutAgain · 01/06/2021 18:17

My guinea pigs love parsley, never any left over at our house!

ChocolateHoneycomb · 01/06/2021 20:32

Pesto.
Whizz garlic, parsley, basil if have any, any nuts you have (cashews, pine), cheese (strong and hard, obv ideally Parmesan but I often use cheddar), oil, salt and pepper.
I sometimes use peas + basil/parsley which kids prefer to just herbs

lastqueenofscotland · 01/06/2021 23:23

Another vote for tabouleh

purplesequins · 28/06/2021 17:31

the dc turned out to be big fans of salsa verde (aka parsley pesto).

now I nearly don't have enough parsley growing.
