Not the blades themselves, but the post bit that threads through the bottom of the bowl and into the base. This is the second time this has happened and it's not even a year old. My daughter uses it for her frozen fruit smoothie each morning and yes, she does use cut up fruit. Not teeny pieces, but we happily threw in whole frozen banana in our previous model (which still works). We're more carful with this model since the first time. The consultant is making noises about not replacing. Anyone experience this?
