if there is a homemade version I can do for him instead? One that he can just bang in the microwave and heat up? Anyone done this? There's no cooking facilities just kettle and microwave!

Sorry I meant for my DP! We buy alot of them and I was hoping to cut down on the food bill and make them for him instead.

There's no fridge to keep it in will it be OK in his bag until it gets microwaved?

Or make a load ahead, heat a portion in the microwave and put in one of those food thermos containers, that's what I do when I want to take a warm meal to work (they removed all the microwaves 'due to Covid')
