I have googled this but could only find 20cm square or 23cm round answers so hoping mumsnet to the rescue 🌸
Basically does anyone have a 20cm cake tin they could measure the volume of to about halfway up the tin please
I realise you need to get the tin wet sorry about that
Genuine question I can’t find my cake tin but I have two loaf tins that are about half a litre to halfway up
Just spent £9.00 on ingredients so don’t want to mess this up
Thank you in advance 💐

Never say that school maths lessons don’t teach you anything for real life!

For the volume of a cylinder (i.e. a round cake tin):
V = πr2h

Say you have a 20cm tin that is 7cm high:
V = 3.14 x (10 x 10) x 7 = 2198cc

So just over two litres full to the brim.
