Has anyone got Heinz-like tomato soup recipe?

Recently discovered that DD absolutely loves tinned tomato soup. Obviously the salt content isn't great. I've tried making it before but it's the one soup I can't seem to master. Heinz tomato soup is one of my comfort foods, I'd love to replicate it for myself, especially now as DD loves it.

Has anyone got any foolproof recipes that is similar to Heinz tomato soup? Thanks.

I make a really quick and tasty one, it’s vegan too. I soak some cashew nuts for a few hours and drain. Heat up a tin of chopped tomatoes, add stock, then the cashews and blend. Then I add white ground pepper. The cashews give it the creamy dairy like taste. I do sometimes replace the cashews for cream cheese but I’m dairy free so don’t eat that myself.

5 months ago I was having such strong cravings for Heinz tomato soup but I was scared to have it as I read somewhere to avoid it. However, after speaking to different people they said it was safe to eat so I gave in and I literally had a couple of tins of it every week for 4 months, I am currently 30 weeks 4 days pregnant and my scans say my boy is in perfect health at the moment.ive stopped now as the craving has turned to something else lol If you do fancy having a tin of heinz without having to make it as pregnancy can make us ladies tired, enjoy the heinz tin, it hasn't done me any harm Smile take care

You need to buy the reduced sugar Heinz soup. It has less salt too.

I used to do a cheat's Heinz tomato soup for the kids, based on a recipe a chef told me about when I worked in a hotel. It's essentially a tin of baked beans to two tins of chopped tomatoes and some stock, but you can elaborate with onion, celery, carrot, garlic, basil, whatever really.

the closest I could find with a quick google search is probably:

of course, if you don't want to use heinz (or any other) baked beans in tomato sauce, and go for unprocessed ingredients as much as possible, you could just substitute a tin of plain white haricot and beef up the tomatoiness with tomato puree. If I do it that way though, personally I can't enjoy it anywhere near as much without a bit of salt and even a little sugar.
