My Panasonic breadmaker moves across the worktop when it’s kneading and the breads now about 2” thick.

Is it broken or repairable? I’ve had it 14 years but funds are tight and I’d rather fix it.

It’s the SD 255.

Hey, mine's started walking too, it's only thirteen though and the bread is still okay. Are you sure it's not that your yeast's gone off?

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/05/2021 09:27

I’ll buy some yeast and report back.

I've just had mine repaired (for a different issue). It's about 13 too, and doesn't walk. There should be a contact number in your manual.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/05/2021 13:53

Who repaired it?. My yeast is in date but I’ll buy a pack and give it a try.

Not sure about the walking but ours was coming out like s brick when we gad set it on the timer for about 12 hours later.
I think something must happen to the yeast if left too long in the machine before the process begins.

If you are using a timer, put the liquids in first. Then the flour - make a small shallow pit in the middle of the flour and put the yeast in there so it is completely separated from the liquid.

It was fixed by PVS in Peterborough. If that's nowhere near you, call Panasonic on 0344 844 3899 and they'll give you the details of someone more local.
