Pumpkin Soup to start
Salmon & Chard Filo parcels with buttery boiled pots, carrots and brocolli for main
Fruit, Cheese & Biscuits for afters

And it's FIL's 87th birthday so will also be doing a birthday cake. Nigella's Coconut Cake, I think. To serve an hour or so later with coffee.

sort of a lighter version of salmon en croute. never done it before so am sort of making it up...

have bought some ready rolled filo,
I'll wilt the chard in some butter and garlic plop it in the middle of a filo sheet
plonk the (skinned) salmon fillet on top
squirt of lemon juice, salt n pepper then fold it up
brush the top with olive oil
if I'm feeling cheeky, I may throw a few capers in with the salmon.
stick it in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the pastry is golden.

will serve a parlsey sauce on the side.
