Findus crispy pancakes from scratch

DH has a craving for findus crispy pancakes, the beef type.

I’ve never had them and have no idea what they’re like.

Can anybody advise on how I make them? What sort of beef filling is it? And once I’ve made the stuffed pancakes do I just dip in eggs then breadcrumbs to make them crispy then fry?

Save yourself the hassle, they sell them in Asda

If he's craving findus crispy pancakes, but not homemade crispy pancakes, why would you go to the effort of making them?

I've made these before. They're good but they aren't Findus crispy pancakes. I think the beef and kidney one would be quite close to what your dh is after or you could cook some beef mince with onion and have a thick sauce made with oxo beef cubes. That would be close to what I remember. I used to love the ham and cheese filling.

Just buy them?

I haven't had them for years but now also have a craving for them.

Indulge his craving; homemade probably aren't going to scratch this itch.

Thanks all. I don’t think there’s an Asda anywhere near us, couldn’t find them anywhere. Also apparently the recipe has changed?

I’ll try the river cottage one :)

Try and make the pancakes as this as possible. It really helps with the end result. Good luck!
