If you do freeze them it's best to ice them after you defrost them rather than before.

ok -so i could make them today, freeze them ,defrost them tomorrow afternoon and then ice them tomorrow night?

I'm not sure 1 days freezing would have much benefit. I would just keep them in an airtight tin.
Fairy cakes don't last long in this house but still moist on day 4, longest we've ever kept any.

As long as you ice them as soon as they are cool they should be OK for Friday
They will be fine in an airtight container

thank you . will dig out a tupperware box and do them tonight. cheers!
