What are you making?

Just for inspiration really and some new ideas.

I have made wheaten (aka brown soda) bread, which I've broken into quarters for the freezer. I also made veg and split pea soup, which I'll put in portions for the freezer. Dd and I are also going to make a porter cake later when DH comes back from the shops with a can of ale for it!

I’ve made a huge veggie lasagne today so I have 10 portions I can freeze.

I have a bunch of bananas that are pretty ripe so will make a loads of muffins for the freezer later.

I’ve already made a double batch of

I'm making the veggie Bolognese that is apparently the best one of five recipes the testers tried. It's got ketchup in it and the recipe said use agave syrup as well, but I left that out because I didn't want it too sweet.

With picnic season coming up, I’ll be making mini quiches, sausage rolls and cheese scones.
I also fancy some more summery meals, so I’m buying the ingredients to make fish cakes, veggie burgers and paella.

They are but they are a little on the sloppy side. I add an extra spoon of coco powder and stick them in the freezer for 30 mins before cutting. I store them in the freezer (portioned in baking paper & in an ice cream tub) then take one out when I fancy one with a cuppa. They are lovely on the heavily chilled side (too impatient to fully defrost) as well as defrosted.

Thanks, I might make them next week. My blender is like a nutribullet type... It does cope surprisingly well with solid stuff, but we'll see!

Batch cooking for picnics is a lovely idea too! I just wish we'd get some warm weather. We've managed some picnics already though and even winter picnics can be lovely
