Bread recipe inspiration

Yesterday I realised that I’ve killed my sourdough starter and felt surprisingly sad about it.

I really fancy baking bread today but I haven’t done anything that isn’t sourdough for over a year. I’ve got fast action yeast and a fully stocked cupboard of ingredients.

Does anyone have a recipe to cheer me up?

Are you using a loaf tin or making a free-hand loaf in a banneton?

My sourdough died too and I haven’t got back into bread baking since. But pre Covid, pre sourdough days the Ottolenghi grape focaccia was a favourite. Link below.

I've had the best results with Paul Hollywood's milk bread - this website has it in a plait which I haven't tried but will do now!
