It’s used a fair bit in Persian cooking
I’ve not used it myself but eaten plenty!

I love a dried lime as a garnish to a bloody Mary (and I eat them once I’ve drunk the BM and they’ve soaked up juices!)

That is one of my DW's regular recipes, along with Khoresht Bademjun (Aubergines and lamb/chicken in a tomato based sauce with yellow lentils).
