Pressure king pro - help!

I feel so thick, Someone gave me a pressure king pro but I don’t know how to use the damn thing. I thought I’d try making a bulk load of rice because I make fried rice a lot....but all the recipes online confuse me!

Can someone explain it to me in child like terms?!

If I click pressure cook and then select rice, it comes up at 12 minutes but none of the recipes online say that and it’s giving me rage!

Very odd - takes less time in a saucepan !

Try YouTube for videos.

@Georgyporky that’s what I thought 🤣

There's a FB group called something like Sammies pressure king pro recipes.

Eight minute mac and cheese is vg.

For "fried" rice I'd probably do about 10 mins.

Is very trial and error.

I binned mine in a fury after a couple of months. Hated it. Metal bastard.

Have you got the user manual? If so, that should help.
If not, it's easily downloadable.

Measure your rice and wash under running water until water runs clear , this is to get rid of the starch so rice isn't sticky.
Place rice in the pot and add same amount of water, so for each cup of rice one cup of cold water, add pinch of salt.
Close lid fully and close the valve. Set manually by pressing "pressure cook" this will automatically display 2 minutes we need to set it to 3 minutes so press the time button 0:0 will flash press the button again and now 0:2 will flash turn the dial and 0:3 will display touch again and then the arrow/ start button on the right hand corner.
When the pot reaches pressure it will cook your rice for 3 minutes and turn itself off.
The Keep Warm button will light up, turn off by pressing and leave the pot alone for 10 minutes. After those 10 minutes open the valve to release any pressure left in the pot, carefully open lid and fluff up rice with a fork.

I find the 12 minute preprogrammed on the rice setting is far too long

For hard boiled eggs put about a cup of water in the pan , place the steamer in place and as many eggs as you want to hard boil in the steamer, close lid fully and close the valve.
Touch Pressure Cook and then timer to 5 min, then Start.
When pressure cooker finishes open the valve so steam escapes and as soon as you can do so open lid and place eggs in cold water.
Cooked this way they are very easy to peel

So, after it gets to pressure (no time quoted), 3 mins to cook + 10 mins to rest.

That's a long time, or am I missing something?

thenumberseven · 10/04/2021 17:49

That's correct, 3 minutes cooking and 10 minute rest.
