Changing formula

Heya

My little 1 is only 2 weeks old and I was unable to breastfeed unfortunately so he's had to go onto formula
I'm using cow and gate and recently my little 1 has started to feed less he use to have 3oz now he will have 2oz or less and is sick, his sick is very thick like old milk coming up. He's also very restless now and he struggles to bring up a burp.
His nappy is completely fine and regular

Just want to know if it's something he's getting use or should I change the formula?

You can most definitely change his formula Smile

Is it actually forceful vomiting(trying to get something out of his system) or just spitting up (normal)? For most babies spit-up is a quick, smooth flow of liquids up and out during or shortly after a feeding. Vomit tends to be green or yellow (contains bile), whereas spit up is usually white or light yellow.
If it’s vomiting, I’d change the formula straight away. The fact that he’s restless makes me think it could be a problem with the formula.
With regards to the burping, keep him upright for 20 to 30 mins after feeding. Avoid bouncing or quick and rough movements.

Thank you so much for getting back!

It's not forceful sick, it's pure white and very very thick I have to get it out of his mouth because of thick it is! It's like string

I spoke to my health visitor and she said it's normal but I've had so many midwifes and health visitor tell me different things I'm so confused

I'm a first time mum on my own and I'm scared a little bit and obviously won't the best for little man.

But he is becoming more and more restless and drinking less but more often so he's getting something down him
