I just do mine in oil, salt and pepper. Also a bit controversially, I do mine in discs cutting across the potato instead of long ways. You get more even slices so they cooked evenly.

Thanks, I like your idea UCO, how thick do you cut them?

About 0.5 cm but only because they cook fast at that thickness! It can be a bit arbitrary. I also don't peel them first. The skin is lovely.

Toss in a bowl containing 1tbps olive oil, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp mild chilli powder and a sprinkle of salt. Then tip out and bake on an oven tray at 180°C for 20 mins or so.

I slice into relatively thin wedges, I find the chunkier they are the more they steam and you don't get any crunch. I coat in semolina and salt, pepper and olive oil and roast on a high heat.

If you want them to crisp you need to make sure there is a gap between each wedge e.g they should not touch each other.

Some oil, black pepper and smoked paprika.

I chop 2 sweet potatoes into wedges, toss with 2 tbsp olive oil, 2 tsp paprika, 1 tsp cinnamon and salt and pepper. Roast for about 40 minutes. I might try discs next time though.

Leftovers are good straight from the fridge dunked in guacamole

DisgruntledPelican · 02/04/2021 07:23

Oil, Paprika, chili powder, salt and pepper. Maybe some dried parsley too. I sometimes steam the wedges for 5 mins first if I want to cut down the roasting time, they still crisp up well.

Myfanwyprice · 02/04/2021 07:25

Salt and pepper, then drizzle honey over for the last 15 minutes, amazing!

Tartyflette · 02/04/2021 07:41

Olive oil, salt and pepper, cumin seeds, oregano and hot smoked paprika.

Use olive oil and a bit of finely chopped rosemary, a nice hot oven, then simply swap the sweet potato for real potatoes.
