Charcoal/gas bbq?

I hated the idea of a gas one and threatened to get rid of the one we got with the house... then I reluctantly used it and it’s brilliant. No firelighters, switch on, wait half an hour, cook, switch off. Kids still get to poke sticks in the edges, make charcoal drawing/smoky sticks and muck about.

We got given a gas BBQ for a wedding present and and I'm a total convert! It's just so convenient, none of the faff and uncertainty about the heat. You can cook breakfast on it! We had a summer where we ate outside almost every day, grilled meat, salad and potatoes every evening - it was lovely.
