Pesto pasta chicken in fridge 3 days

donewithitalltodayandxmas · 21/03/2021 12:31

I made spaghetti with pesto chicken and some veg Thursday night and a small amount was left, so put in an airtight container in the fridge as dh said he would eat it for lunch Friday.
Just moving stuff in the fridge around and its still there, Dh said he will eat it later today but I think it should be binned now as too long ( over 72 hrs )
Who is right ?

What state was the chicken when you made on Thursday? Did you cook it from fresh or was it leftover cooked chicken? Did you reheat it when you made the dish?

Don’t eat it

That would get eaten in this house, as long as it was all fresh when originally cooked, and not using up leftovers.

I make it under 72 hrs tho.

We'd eat it here. It'll be ok! DH hates food waste!

Chicken was fresh on thursday and not reheated , cooled down quickly and put in fridge in air tight container , where its been hidden ever since

3 day rule in this house!

Yeah we’d eat it in this house given what you’ve said. My DH also hates wasting food. I’d probably not give it to the DC though.
