Warnicks Advocaat -

Step 1 -get's opened - 2 Snowballs made ( for slightly mad neighbour - Bless her!)
Step 2 - gets pushed to the back of the cupboard where it slowly crusts and decay's Step 3 - on or around the following Dec 23rd discover manky bottle chucked it away
Step 4 - purchase new bottle

Repeat all steps ad nauseum each year ....

Mmmmm.... Panforte, stollen, thing DP makes on Christmas Eve pronounced ragu fan, no idea how it's spelt but think it's German. He had a German girlfriend for a long time and I am immensely grateful to her for passing on all their lovely Christmas food traditions (and for training him so thoroughly that he thinks I am 'low maintenance' while indulging my every whim). On 6th December (St Nikolaus Tag (sp?)) if I have been good St Nikolaus visits in the night and fills my boots with chocolate. I have usually been good.

MaryAnnSingleton · 08/11/2007 10:59

I've just remembered chestnuts
