Recipes that are a bit special

Just looking for inspiration really and wondering what your favourite recipes are for a special meal.

Happy to cook and eat all cuisines but we are missing restaurants so much now that I'm hoping to put a bit more effort in here --and I might've been watching masterchef

Thanks!

Aldi has amazing large peruvian scallops in their freezer section (sadly without the roe).

i do a range of things with them. Most simply I put them with a bit of lemon juice, parsley, garlic and butter in the oven for a few minutes until they are cooked through (but still slightly opaque) and then i serve with good bread, butter and white wine.

If you really want a restaurant vibe then consider a restaurant box. I have tried and loved Peels on Wheels, Haworth at Home, Tom Shepherd Dine at Home, and Aktar at Home curry box. Not as cheap as doing it yourself, but incredible quality, super easy, and supporting businesses.
