Recommendations for a good knife set

I love to cook and have had a set of Jamie Oliver kitchen knives for years but I find they need sharpening constantly which is a real faff. I’d like to upgrade to a really decent set and would be willing to pay for quality. Can anyone recommend a set you’ve used and really loved! Thanks 😊

Global knives. Absolutely love them. We bought the 7 piece set for a wedding present for BIL, was about £350. But I first bought the 3 piece and that does most things, it was £180.

Following! Two Sebatier knives broke in the last year and I'm looking for something better - sharp but long lasting.

I've had a set of Wusthof knives for over 20 years and they are still going strong, the same with some John Lewis ones, also had them for donkey's years. I've got my eye on the Flint and Flame knives, they feel good in my hand and look fab. I've never liked the Global knives, the handles don't feel comfortable in my hand.
I'm a bit obsessed with kitchen knives!

Global knives, definitely.

I have three global knives. A cooks knife, bread and utility. They're all I use. I have bought them for DHs birthday/Christmas, for me, obviously.

They still have to be sharpened though.

They are very good.

Miyabi knives. You only need 3 or 4 plus an appropriate sharpener.

Thanks all! I’ll have a google! Smile
