For dinner tonight? Thin and crispy rather than doughy. Thanks.

Probably too late for tonight as it needs to rise but we use @5o'clockapron every time - her Instagram page has loads of family friendly ideas and all of her books are brilliant.

The sainsburys quick pizza dough recipe

The Sainsbury's easy pizza dough recipe. We use it often and it never fails. We do pizza on pizza stones in the oven or pizza bbq outside.

SanFranBear · 06/03/2021 23:12

I use Jack Munroe's, it's brilliant and so easy!

This never fails ...

13oz strong bread flour
Tablespoon of caster sugar
7oz dried yeast
Teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
8floz warm water

Sieve dry ingredients add oil and water. Once mixed knead for 10 minutes. Put in floured bowl and leave in warm place for at least an hour. Should double in size.

*7g yeast sachet!

gluteustothemaximus · 06/03/2021 23:39

Best pizza dough is via our bread maker (Panasonic one).

It has a pizza dough setting and it is amazing. That coupled with pizza express sauce or mutti sauce, and Tesco mozzarella for pizza (that isn't watery) we literally make the best pizza ever, so cheap and a million times better than any takeaway pizza. We have it every week.

4 spoonfuls of Greek yoghurt + 8 of self raising flour + teaspoon of baking powder. Lovely thin pizza base

feliznavidad2 · 07/03/2021 14:02

Paul Hollywood's, it's included on this link: www.thecrazykitchen.co.uk/2017/10/classic-thin-crispy-margarita-pizza.html?m=1

The semolina makes it crispy and delicious.

Thefamilybusiness · 07/03/2021 14:04

Equal amounts by weight of fat free Greek yogurt and self raising flour. Just mix together and roll, it's lovely.

MirandaMarple · 07/03/2021 21:12

Use Caputo flour. I buy off Amazon.

FeistySheep · 08/03/2021 16:51

Yeast free option - takes 3 mins. Proper bread dough ones are tasty, but I actually like this one just as much, and it makes pizza almost instant rather than something you have to prep in advance.

6oz SR flour
1/2 oz butter (rub into flour)
dried herbs/pepper if desired
milk to mix into soft dough

Roll nice and thin, directly onto baking sheet/greaseproof.

FeistySheep · 08/03/2021 16:51

Oh - that makes two greedy-people pizzas if rolled really thin Grin

ChiefBabySniffer · 08/03/2021 17:06

Yes to caputo flour. It really does need to be 00 for excellent results. I use 750g flour, 3 tsps year, like warm water and a very good cough of extra Virgin olive oil. Then I ferment it for 24 hours in the fridge. Bring it to room temp, ball it up, further 3-4 hours at room temp. Hottest oven you can and it's perfection.

tinkywinkyshandbag · 08/03/2021 18:53

Thanks all!! I went with Sainsbury's for ease and it was pretty good but will give some of the others a go next time!
