Cook book suggestions for a keen veg growing Mum

Hi, I'd like to buy my mum a cook book for mothersday. She's a keen home cook and her and Dad are really I to growing veg on the garden and often talk about how eating it fresh from the garden if better than going out for dinner. So I thought something with simple seasonal recipies, that can inspire them to make the most from the veg patch would be good. Bit I can't find anything that's inspired me. I wondered if anyone had any recomendations. Thanks.

My DSis is veggie and grows lots of veg. I know that she really likes HFW's book.

Nigel Slater wrote one that covers each vegetable in alphabetical order. There’s a second book for fruit. Both are beautifully written and would make a lovely gift.

Sophie Grigson also has a similar book called vegetables that I use all the time. Not as pretty but a very useful book.

The Nigel Slater ones are called Tender, a cook and his vegetable patch.

Another vote for Hugh FW's Veg Every Day, has some interesting ideas,
And
Nige's Tender a cook and his vegetable patch, there are a couple of volumes of this, so it's worth looking through the Contents on Amazon, to see which one would appeal more to your Mum.

Sarah Raven's book, think it's called the Kitchen Garden, is brilliant. She organises the recipes by month and by what most people grow in the UK.

Brilliant ideas. Thabk you very much for the suggestions I'll go research them properly now. Smile
