I have been off my food lately, not unwell just fnd I sit down to eat, take a mouthfull and then think, I am not enjoying this and stop. So when I woke up this morning feeling hungry with a craving for french toast I decided to make myself some.

I have eaten one slice but to me it was like eating nothing and I couldnt eat the next one. I think this is more to do with my taste buds changing as I love eggs normally done in lots of ways but I literally started retching when I ate this. Maybe I made it wrong but even though it was a savoury version it still had a taste of sweetness.

Another food off my list then. I have so far lost the desire to eat-

Cheese (was my all time favourite food so much so my nickname was Wallace)
Chocolate - just not feeling it any more
Bread
Potato products

The only thing I seem to enjoy is Yoghurt, Cereal and fruit and cups of tea, organge juice.

Anyone else got a tip for making something that may tempt me. On the plus side I should lose loads of weight which I can definitely do with.

I dont feel iill at all, I just have no desire to eat anything when previously I looked forward to my meals and would like to snack too.

Have you had Covid and lost your sense of smell - that affects taste too

I feel like this regularly. The monotony of having to come up with 'what you buy for dinner' makes me want to scream.

In the end I fancy nothing. I thought this was quite common among mums?

I dont think so, as I have had the vaccine in January, but if I did have it, then I had no symptoms. I have just forced myself to eat some dark chocolate and I can taste it, I am just not desiring it, its that bit thats odd, I just dont have the urge or desire to eat and I used to be a bit of a piggie so this is strange.

If I get like this I actually find really strong flavours better. Things with lots of chilli, or balsamic vinegar or bacon . I also find dry crisp foods easier to eat when nothing really appeals.

Have you spoken to your GP? Worth ruling out any physical reasons for your loss of appetite.
It might be worth trying a tonic such as metatone which might boost your appetite, or at least provide some of the nutrients you are not taking on board.
I'm not a big fan of ready meals at all, but if you're off your food, the hassle of preparing food might also be off putting? Maybe try a couple of whatever you fancy, maybe curry or Chinese for taste or fish pie if you want something mild?
