Vegetarian Daughter

Hi all,

My 7 year old daughter has decided she wants to be vegetarian, which is great and i (as a family of meat eaters) fully support her choice. I'm well aware this phase may not (or may!) last long.
Could anybody recommend some recipes i could try for her please?
Going to try the obvious, substituting meat for the non-meat options, i.e quorn chilli/ spag bol etc.

Thanks in advance!

A great staple in my food choices are simple potato or pasta bakes as well as simple stir fry. They are a great veggie option and can be served with fish or meat on the side.

I have an 11 year old that likes the idea of being vegetarian but in reality doesn't like most of the stuff I cook (DH and I mostly have plant based dinners). She does however like tofu, and really enjoys the Special fried Rice in the Bosh! Book. I will also do her noodles with veg, she enjoys it with baked tofu (cube tofu, marinate in soy sauce, toss on cornflour, and roast for 20-30 mins).

Lentil Bolognese
Tofu curry (I guess quite mild if it’s for a 7 year old?)
Gnocchi with pesto
3 bean chilli
Veggie burgers are super easy to make from scratch and something she could get stuck in on!
Nowt wrong with egg and chips/jacket and beans occasionally.

The Vegetarian Society have some good recipes that children can help to make in this booklet Smile
