If you buy your meat from the butchers....

How do you know when it expires? Bought 5 chicken breast from a local butchers, they are all in one bag. How do you know how long they're good for? Or should I just freeze them individually and take out as required?

Use your nose, freeze what you are not going to use in the near future.

You could ask the butcher when you buy it. Dh buys his meat from the butcher (I am veggie) and he usually freezes it unless he's going to use it within a couple of days.

Just freeze what you're not going to use individually and use within a month. That's what I do and have done for the last 30 years 🤞
