Ruote pasta - what do you with it?

I bought ruote pasta on a whim. But now I’m not sure what to do with it. I’d love to cook it but keep its shape so pasta salad perhaps? Any other recommendations?

I first came across it when looking at this recipe www.countrylife.co.uk/food-drink/greatest-recipes-ever-aubergine-and-ricotta-sauce-sicilian-style-16171

It SHOULD keep its shape well boiled al dente - may get more wobbly if baked or cooked in sauce for a long time. If you want to showcase the shape, pasta salad is good and so is soup with a clear or translucent broth - something like minestrone or even (departing a little from traditional Itlaian) a chicken noodle or veg noodle soup. That said, ruote and rotelle are used a lot with thick smooth sauces because the little spaces capture the sauce so well.
