Can I have your favourite sausage recipes please? Traybake/easy recipes welcome ☺️

Thinking along the lines of some sort sort of glazed/sticky sausage recipe please.

lentil one pot

Mary Berry tray bake with peppers and new potatoes.

Cut the tops off some red and yellow peppers.

Remove the skins from the sausages. Chop some parsley and onion, and mix with the sausage meat.

Then pack the parsley/meat mix in to the peppers and put the lids back on.
Bake in a medium oven for 50 mins.

Serve with garlic bread.

Sweet, sticky, my DS (12) loves them.

My two favourites

  1. Hairy Biker's Sausage Casserole - this can be done on the stove, or my mum does it in a slow cooker - either way it's to die for.

  2. Sausage pasta - my own recipe
    Chop 8 sausages into small pieces - about 5-6 per sausage. Fry these well, drain off the oil and set aside.
    Chop up and add an onion, courgette and 2 sweet peppers (bite sized pieces) plus plenty of chopped garlic to a large pan and gently fry for 2-3 mins, then add the sausages, a carton of passata, 2 tsp mixed herbs, 1 tsp rosemary, 1/2 tsp black pepper and 3-4 dried chillis (you can use fresh - adjust for heat as required) and 1 tbsp tomato puree and 1/2 cup of vegetable stock. Stir the pan, bring to a gentle simmer and then lid it. Cook for about 10 mins or until the veg are cooked to taste.

Separately cook the pasta, drain and then add to the sausage sauce mixture, stir and serve.

French sausage and lentils, so many variations on line but I use Puy lentils and a mustard sauce.

My current favourite is sausage, apple, parsnip and red onion. I serve it drizzled with salsa verde.

You could add mustard/honey to the tray bake and leave the salad verde out.

Another vote for Jamie Oliver's sausage pasta. I think it's called Jules Pregnant Pasta. Bloody lush.

I do sausages roasted with red onions, red grapes, bit of vinegar. Serve with mash and green veg. Delicious
