Herbal Teas that don't SUCK!

I'm pregnant so can't mainline black tea anymore.

Am disappointed with the supermarket 'selections' and don't have a Waitrose anywhere near me now.

Any suggestions for good sites to order herbal teas - they must do online orders because I'm out in the sticks.

I quite like hot Ribena.

cadelaide · 03/11/2007 22:16

It does smell like treebark expat, you're right!
Still love it though, maybe that's why.

francagoestohollywood · 03/11/2007 22:16

try the mint tea then, it's great for morning sickness...

francagoestohollywood · 03/11/2007 22:17

You are all making me craving some hideous herbal tea now
expat, hot water bottles.

cadelaide · 03/11/2007 22:17

Pruners' Yogi teas are good, they do a really spicy cinnamon one.

expatinscotland · 03/11/2007 22:19

i'd take hot ribena any day over a cuppa tree bark with boiling water thrown over it.

Ok. I've got it. I'm the first to say that I hate herbal teas. But..........
I go to Slimming World and our Consultant takes all the refreshments for us to tuck into, you know tea, coffee etc etc. The other day she forgot the milk so I thought ok fair enough I shall give these herbal tea things another ago then. (I can't drink my tea and coffee without a splash of milk). She had the Twinnings Selections Mixed Berry Infusions. I tried the Strawberry and Mango one and I have to say it wasn't all that bad. So when I went shopping I bought a pack and am actually enjoying all the flavours. HTH.

I like the julian graves ayurvedic teas. My favourite is the cardomom, cinnamon and cloves. It is an aquired taste in general to like herbal teas, so don't give up!
Also good in that range is the coriander and peppermint, which will help settle a dodgy tummy no end.

And the lemongrass and ginger is great, very refreshing.

How about trying them with a good squeeze of lemon and some apple juice to make it taste sweet, and more palatable. THen reduce those as you get used to it.

Oooh - I just checked the packets and they are whittards - but sold in julian graves also!
