Defrosting pizza advice!

Seems like such a silly question, but can I defrost pizza (for tonight) on the counter and how long can I leave it out for (it’s veggie if that makes a diffference!). Thanks.

Why are you defrosting it? Just cook it from frozen.

MadameSapphire · 19/02/2021 12:47

Hi @PotteringAlong, it says on the packet to defrost first...

If I was eating it tonight I would just take it out this afternoon and leave it out. Won't come to any harm

PotteringAlong · 19/02/2021 12:52

Really? Heck. I would still just cook it from frozen!

FlatEarthling · 19/02/2021 12:52

I have never defrosted pizza
Just cook from frozen

Me too, I've never defrosted a pizza before cooking it, honestly wouldn't even occur to me to check it needed to be defrosted. It would just gets shoved in the oven on this house.

What could possibly cause you harm if you cook a veggie pizza from frozen?

sleepyhead · 19/02/2021 13:00

I've never defrosted a frozen pizza first - normally they say their better cooked from frozen.

But, yes you can defrost on the counter and I'd say you're fine leaving it out now although I'd imagine it would only take a couple of hours to defrost.

Right, thanks all. Just to clarify, it was fresh, then frozen... I’ll just pop it straight in from freezer tonight if peeps think that’s fine! Thanks everyone.
