Chicken thighs - quite urgent 😀

I have some chicken thighs with skin and bone in that I need to use today. Ive popped them in a roasting dish with some spices over the skin...do I need to do anything else? Or do I now just bung them in the oven?

I've never cooked thigh before 😬

I'd do them for 25 mins at 180

Fabulous...thank you! In need of a quick easy tea.

I’d do them for 35-40 mins and I have a brand new fan oven

OrangeBlossom28 · 18/02/2021 16:26

They'll prob need a bit longer than 25 mins if they're on the bone.

PawPawNoodle · 18/02/2021 16:26

I personally would have browned them in a pan first but that's just because I like the skin crispy. Sounds nice though, thighs are my favourite

TyneTeas · 18/02/2021 16:27

I would have said 30-40 mins too

EveryoneRevealsThemselves · 18/02/2021 16:33

25 mins at 180 will not be cooked through on the bone.

EhWhatPardon · 18/02/2021 16:55

I've got them on 180, I've put the timer on for 40mins..ill check them after that Smile

Baste them half way through the time.

Too late now, but a traybake is quick & easy.
Hot fat/oil, spuds in first, after 20 mins add sliced onions with thighs on top, another 10 minutes add sliced peppers & halved toms, ready in 30 mins.
Dinner ready in an hour, & only one dish to wash.

You definitely need at least 35 - 40 minutes if they're on the bone.

If you leave them.alone and uncovered the skin will crisp up.

After 20 minutes drain off any juices and smother them in bbq sauce... mmmmm
