Is there a word for this?

I cook a lot of currys and Asian food, often using whole spices. No matter how much I try, there always seems to be a stray cardamon or clove that I haven't managed to fish out. Is there a word to describe the situation where you are eating a lovely mouthful of curry, only to be the unlucky person to find the lonesome whole srpice, chomping down on that stray cardamon? I've always thought we should have a word for it.

In the case of whole dried Kashmiri chillis, our word is “winner”

Inevitably the winner has tears pouring down their face because they’re so happy to have won.

The prize is a big glass of water and the hiccoughs.
