Has anyone got a truly delicious chocolate brownie recipe they are willing to share? Mine always turn out meh. My friend makes incredible ones but the recipe is a closely guarded secret. She did tell me that they have no butter in them, just oil...

Thanks!

We make this one but once the raw mixture's in the cake tin, swirl in a tin of Carnation Caramel before it goes in the oven. Sometimes we also chuck in a few nuts.

I use the Smitten Kitchen 'best cocoa brownies' recipe. It has no chocolate, just cocoa, it's really fudgy and gooey.

Like all brownies you need to watch it like a hawk towards the end of cooking. One minute can turn brownies into cake which is not what you want.

Another one I used to make is the classic MN Suzy Wong recipe, it's very good.

This recipe is amazing - we use frozen raspberries (sometimes blackberries) it’s gooey and lovely, I might make some today

Nigella's, but halve or third the recipe unless you're feeding a crowd. I also switch out a bit of the white sugar for brown, some of the flour for cocoa and add chocolate chunks...

I love Nigel Slater’s brownie recipe

These chocolate orange brownies are also very very nice - she has lots of brownie recipes to try. The Rolo ones are tempting me!

I use "SuzyWong" Brownies from MN.

In fact, I have a tray here right now. They are awesome.
