Some of my marmalade jars haven't sealed properly

The rest of the jars are fine and have popped down and sealed. The jam has set and is delicious!
I heated up a bit left over and filled up the other jars a bit more. One or two have popped down now. But the others are really full now.
All the web links say "heat up the jars or replace the rings they are all old Bonne Maman jars and process as usual" which is useless as I'm not an American housewife canning peaches, so "as usual" means "fill the jars and leave to cool".

Put them in a clean, empty dishwasher- the heat will seal them. Seems very strange but it works!!

I’d just fridge the unsealed ones and eat those first. I had similar with my jam one year. The ones which had sealed went in the pantry (or as gifts) and the ones which didn’t seal were mine, all mine... 🤤

I now have 3 unsealed and one is huge so I don't think we have the fridge room. I'll wait till DH isn't looking and try the dishwasher!

If you are going to eat it in the next month, I wouldn't bother with the fridge. In fact I probably wouldn't worry for at least two months if you are going to eat it yourself. The sugar content is high, and sugar is a preservative.

Well, a short 45° cycle has sealed one more. If I can get the huge ex mincemeat jar sealed on a 70° pots cycle I'll put that one in the cupboard but if not I think that one won't get eaten in the next few weeks so I'll pop that one in the fridge and start on the small one straight away 😋

All but one are sealed now so that's a result.

What about making a few strudles throw in some currents/dark chocolate /cherry's cook then freeze fast desserts for cold days

I'm not really sure I fancy marmalade strudel!
Anyway have just opened the jar that didn't seal so I think we're all good.
