Loose tea recommendations?

I've started using a tea diffuser and the brand I have bought is lovely but really expensive at £5-7 for 50g. I'd be grateful for any recommendations for a brand that includes quality earl grey as well as fruity blends etc. Thanks in advance.

I really like Char Teas, I was given some as a gift and I believe they're an independent shop in Winchester. They have a few different wonderful variations on Earl Grey of which my favourites are their "smoky" Earl Grey mixed with a little bit of Lapsang Souchong, and Lady Winchester which includes grapefruit as well as the usual bergamot. It's £5.95 for 100g so about half the price of the brand you're buying right now!

I also was given (clearly I am a one-trick pony for gifts but tea is always appreciated...) some Lady Morgana tea from Morgan's Brew tea company which was absolutely fantastic - and it looks like it's £5.10 for 100g. Looking at their website they have tonnes of different blends and flavours and I bet they're all fab.

I like bird and blend but sadly it’s not cheap! It is lovely though worth it for a treat

Whittard

We were gifted some tea from Fortnum and Mason, which is lovely. I checked the website and that is about £13 for 250g.

Thanks all! The ones I have now are Bird and Blend but I'm getting through them a bit too quickly to keep buying!

Try Hoogly tea, so much better than any other tea I've tried (and I've tried a lot!)

Similar to bird and blend but better

We drink industrial quantities of tea, and like to have a good selection of green and black teas in the house.

We've been ordering from the Kent and Sussex Tea and Coffee Company for the last year or so, and have been really happy with them. They have large bags on offer that are much more cost effective than Whittards (we typically get a kilo of basic green gunpowder and a kilo of Assam at a time) and a very good range of fancy special ones.

Quick shipping too.
